Tucked away on Kent Street, our bar is proudly family run — a labour of love led by mum and her two daughters, with a shared belief that a great bar is about far more than what’s in the glass.

Our roots reach deep into Kendal’s past. With a nod to the town’s historic snuff production, you’ll find traces of old craft woven throughout the space: a table fashioned from an original snuff press, and a small but characterful collection of antique snuff boxes behind the bar. It’s history you can sit with, drink beside, and enjoy — not behind a glass, but as part of the atmosphere.

Behind the scenes (and often out front), Rosie is our licensee and resident wine selector, personally choosing every bottle for quality and genuine value for money. Our drinks menu champions a great range of beers, spirits and wines, including several produced locally — because we believe the best things are often made close to home.

Mily brings the energy, taking care of social media and entertainment, while Lottie is the welcoming face of the bar, front of house and making sure everyone feels at ease the moment they walk in. Together, all three of us are committed to creating a warm, relaxed, memorable experience — whether you’re popping in for a quiet drink or settling in for the evening.

Above all, our focus is simple: a pleasant experience, an atmospheric setting, and a bar that feels like it belongs to the people who drink in it.
